Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026  ·  Effective date: April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of bandjumpprotocol.com and enrolment in the IELTS Band Jump Protocol course ("the Course"). Please read them carefully before enrolling.

By enrolling in the Course or joining the waitlist, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who these Terms are with

The Course is provided by Adam, a UK national operating as IELTS Band Jump Protocol ("I", "me", or "my"). This is not a registered company. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and me as an individual.

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact me at contact@bandjumpprotocol.com.

2. The Course

IELTS Band Jump Protocol is a 12-week live online IELTS Academic preparation course delivered in group classes of up to 20 students. The Course is designed for Vietnamese learners targeting Band 6.5–7.0+ and uses a systematic rewriting and error-repair methodology.

The Course is delivered via live video sessions scheduled with Vietnamese time zones in mind. Full details of session times, platform, and content are provided to enrolled students prior to the cohort start date.

⚑ Update before launch Add the specific delivery platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet) and any platform-specific terms once confirmed.

3. Eligibility

To enrol in the Course, you must:

I reserve the right to decline enrolment if I reasonably believe the Course is not suitable for a prospective student, and to issue a full refund in such cases.

4. Waitlist

Joining the waitlist does not constitute enrolment in the Course. It grants you priority access to enrolment when a cohort opens and access to early-bird pricing where available. No payment is taken at the waitlist stage. You may leave the waitlist at any time by unsubscribing from emails.

5. Fees and payment

Course fees are confirmed to waitlist members before each cohort opens. Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

⚑ Update before launch Add the specific payment processor, accepted payment methods, currency, and whether instalment plans are available once these are confirmed.

All fees are quoted inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. I reserve the right to change pricing between cohorts; any price change will not affect students who have already enrolled and paid.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Before the cohort start date: You may cancel your enrolment and receive a full refund up to 7 days before the cohort start date. Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to contact@bandjumpprotocol.com.

Within 7 days of the cohort start date: No refund is available once the cohort has begun and you have attended, or had the opportunity to attend, the first session.

Exception — exceptional circumstances: If you are unable to continue due to a serious medical emergency or other extraordinary circumstance, please contact me. I will consider requests on a case-by-case basis and may offer a partial refund or a place on a future cohort at my discretion.

If I cancel a cohort before it begins, you will receive a full refund within 14 days, or the option to transfer your enrolment to a future cohort.

7. Missed sessions and catch-up

The Course runs as a live group programme. If you miss a session, I will make reasonable efforts to provide a recording or catch-up materials where technically possible, but this cannot be guaranteed. Missed sessions do not entitle you to a refund or discount.

Students are expected to complete the rewriting cycles and Error Log work between sessions. Failure to complete between-session work will limit the benefit you receive from the Course but does not affect your payment obligations.

8. Course modifications

I reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the Course content, structure, or scheduling where necessary — for example, due to illness, technical issues, or improvements to the curriculum. I will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes and will not make changes that materially reduce the value of the Course you enrolled in.

If a session must be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond my control, I will offer an alternative time. If no suitable alternative can be agreed, a pro-rata refund for that session may be offered.

9. Results and outcomes

The Course is designed to help students improve their IELTS Academic band scores through systematic error identification and repair. However, I make no guarantee of any specific band score outcome.

Band improvements depend on your starting level, your attendance, your consistency in completing between-session work, and how honestly you engage with your Error Log.

Any band score trajectories or improvement estimates described on this website or in course materials represent expected outcomes for students who complete all weekly assignments and attend all sessions. They are not guarantees. Individual results will vary.

IELTS band scores are determined solely by the examination provider. I have no influence over examination results and accept no liability for scores achieved or not achieved after completing the Course.

10. Intellectual property

All course materials — including but not limited to teaching guides, handouts, frameworks, error log templates, video recordings, and any other content I create and share — are my intellectual property and are protected by copyright.

As a student, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use course materials for your own IELTS preparation. You may not:

Breach of this clause may result in immediate removal from the Course without refund, and potential legal action.

11. Student conduct

You agree to behave respectfully toward other students and toward me during all course sessions and any associated communications or community spaces. I reserve the right to remove a student from the Course without refund if their conduct is disruptive, abusive, or otherwise seriously harmful to other participants or to the learning environment.

12. Privacy

Your use of this website and the Course is also governed by my Privacy Policy, which explains how I collect and use your personal data. Please read it alongside these Terms.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or participation in the Course, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of opportunity, or failure to achieve a target band score.

My total liability to you in respect of any claim arising from these Terms or the Course shall not exceed the fees you paid for the relevant cohort.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Third-party platforms

The Course may be delivered through, or use, third-party platforms (such as video conferencing software and course management tools). My use of those platforms does not imply endorsement of them, and I am not responsible for any disruption, data loss, or other issues arising from those platforms' own failures.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Course will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also have rights under EU consumer protection law that these Terms do not override.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as payment and platform arrangements are finalised. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If you have already enrolled in a cohort, changes to these Terms will not affect your current enrolment — they will apply to future enrolments only.

18. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms or wish to make a complaint, please contact me at:

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 5 working days.
